Melaleuca Products for Kids

We all want to surround our children with the best possible for their growth and development. However, many products that are in most households don’t carry that same concern. According to our pamphlet Let’s Stop Poisoning Our Children “every year five to ten million household poisonings are reported. The real tragedy is accidents like these can easily be avoided.” The Melaleuca Wellness Guide goes on to state, “Household cleaning and personal care products are not the only sources of chemicals in your home. Fortunately, they are the easiest to replace.”

A Safer Alternative

The EcoSense line of household cleaners do not depend on harsh alkaline chemical reactions. Instead soil is dissolved and rinsed away by the use of natural enzymes, solvents, and surfactants. They do not contain surface damaging abrasives, bleach, ammonia, phosphates, or glycol ethers. And they do not contain quats, and they are not packaged with the endocrine disrupting chemicals BPA or phthalates.
Household cleaning products are not the only concern

Hair care products, bath soaps, and gels also contain ingredients that can cause damage if touched or ingested by children. Using not only Melaleuca personal care products for the adults in the household, but Koala Pals line of products made especially for children, ensures a safe environment for all.

Koala Pals Tear-Free Body Wash, Koala Pals Conditioning Tear-Free Hair Wash, and Koala Pals Hand Wash will gently wash away dirt and germs from your little ones using natural cleaning and moisturizing botanicals such as coconut and oats. Koala Pals bath and wash products are especially formulated to be safe and gentle for baby's sensitive skin. They also do not contain formaldehyde, quaterium-15, DMDM hydantoin, or 1,4 dioxane.

The Melaleuca Wellness Guide advises us to not put a child to bed with a nursing bottle of fruit juice or formula. This is the most common cause of dissolved baby teeth. As soon as the baby teeth appear, brush with sugar-free Koala Pals Training Tooth Gel.
Healthy From the Inside Out

We now know that a child's brain will be sculpted by a lifetime of experiences and learning. Good nutrition is "brain-changing" in that it feeds our brain and helps us focus and learn. Children should be taking Koala Pals Multivitamin or tasty Koala Pals Shakeables, a chocolate nutritional shake containing 22 essential vitamins and minerals.

The Melaleuca Wellness Guide tells us that good intestinal health has numerous benefits besides regularity. “Friendly bacteria,” known as probiotics, help us digest food, regulate hormones, produce vitamins, and enhance vitamin and mineral absorption. Probiotics also help crowd out harmful bacteria and, oddly enough, produce natural antibiotics, which inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria throughout the GI tract. Scientists are finding that consumption of probiotics is beneficial for people of all ages. A paragraph from the above linked article states:

"Probiotics have beneficial effects at all stages of life, including the very early ones. Professor Brent Polk points to studies that show the beneficial effect of certain probiotics on gastroenteritis, colic, eczema, diarrhea and necrotizing enterocolitis in children."

Thankfully, Melaleuca’s Florify for Kids is specially formulated for children ages 4 and older. Florify for Kids contains 5 billion active cultures with 7 strains to improve digestive health, immune health, and overall health.

It takes a little effort and knowledge to choose safer products. By switching to cleaners and personal care products that are not full of toxins, we can reduce the stress on our detox system, possibly leading to a healthier life.

Melaleuca Products for Kids Success Stories

I am a third grade teacher with in-person teaching happening at present. The first day of school this year we found a bottle of “sanitizer” sitting in our room that we were to use to daily and frequently clean surfaces. I sprayed it on the desks when my students left the classroom. Immediately I began coughing and felt like it was difficult to breathe. I hated the thought of this being on the surfaces of things my students were around and touching even though I was sure it “would” kill virus and germs. I remembered that I had a spray bottle full of Sol-u-Guard. The next cleaning cycle I sprayed it on the surfaces. No coughing or tight-chests. When the students returned they commented on how clean it smelled in our classroom. I smiled knowing not only was it clean and sanitized, my students could breathe freely! The other product I share with them is Renew lotion. Over and over again I have had students with itchy, dry skin use the lotion and tell their parents how well it worked. (Disclaimer-we are given lists of known allergens for our students, and I am also a registered nurse.) At Christmas, I give each student the small pocket size container of “Mrs. R’s magic lotion” aka Melaleuca Renew lotion. Thank you for such kid-friendly, safe, and successful products.

Little girls and their curls! Beautiful bouncy curls delight everyone, but what a challenge at bath time! The simple and effective solution is the Sei Bella Leave-In Detangling & Smoothing Spray. A few squirts and combing through the little one’s wet hair is no problem!!

I LOVE that my kids can be asked to help clean house! Before Melaleuca there were tasks I wouldn't let them help with to minimize exposure to toxins! Both know to grab the diluted Sol-U-Mel for anything sticky or stinky, diluted Tough n' Tender for wiping down counters and tables/cleaning up spills, and to take care of their laundry with PreSpot in case of oopses! It's removed black craft paint from my daughter's purple turtleneck by the way! My daughter is 10, a dancer and gymnast, my son was in JROTC and Ballroom Dance thru high school. Both know how amazing Pain-A-Trate is for aches, pains, bruises, and over-exertion! The Koala Pals vitamins and Kid's Florify absolutely make a good difference in my kids' energy levels and ability to focus.
