What is your Favorite Personal Care Product?

A favorite personal care product is most likely one we use frequently. Products we use on a daily basis should not only be effective but also safe and non-toxic. Although we probably take it for granted, most of us are particular about the type of soap we use.

The Melaleuca Wellness Guide tells us that one of the most pampering events of life is taking a hot bath. It is very relaxing to simply soak for 10 minutes or so in a warm bath. Choosing the Gold Bar or any of the other Melaleuca bath bars can make a bath feel like moments at a spa.

The book Melaleuca - A Legacy of Wellness tells us that the Gold Bar is not a bar of soap but a luxury glycerin bar with natural cleansers, aloe vera, Melaleuca oil, and other essential oils. Glycerin is a pricey ingredient that most companies reserve for their most expensive skin care products. Most soaps use tallow or lye instead of naturally moisturizing glycerin. Lye soaps can be irritating and drying to our skin.

The luxury Gold Bar is triple French milled. This process removes air, leaving a long-lasting, concentrated, lavish bathing bar. The lemongrass, citronella, and orange essential oils are so well-mixed into the Gold Bar that natural fragrance is released with every use. This Livestrong article explains that triple French milling produces a long-lasting, high-quality luxury soap.

The Melaleuca Wellness Guide suggests using the Gold Bar to help with over 15 conditions. It tells us that, probably due to harsh chemicals in most bath soaps, some persons find that taking baths can contribute to bladder infections. If bladder infections are an issue, and you prefer a soothing bath instead of shower, bathe with the Gold Bar and add 3 to 10 drops of T36-C5 to your bath water.

Personal Care Product Success Stories

My favorite Melaleuca personal care item is the Renew lotion. I have experienced dry skin all my life, and several years ago realized that I had to do a full body lotion after each shower. Renew lotion has helped me to maintain great moisture balance. Sometimes, my cuticles become dry and split. When I apply the Renew lotion, it starts to heal in very little time.

I also keep The Melaleuca Wellness Guide by my bed and is my go-to whenever I have any type of ailment or illness. Many thanks to you for taking the time to develop this useful tool.

My favorite personal care product is the Melaleuca Original Shampoo. I have struggled with dandruff since I was a teenager. I have tried so many shampoos, including prescription shampoos. I always worried about all of the chemicals in those shampoos, because it never seemed quite right to be rubbing tar into my scalp. They also never really took care of the whole problem. Then I found Melaleuca Original Shampoo three years ago. My dandruff has been under control and my hair is soft and shiny without the worry over the damaging chemicals! This is one of the reasons that I am so thankful that I found Melaleuca!

Aloha! As an active person on-the-go I would have to say I gotta have my Cool Shot. Not only does it keep my breath fresh, as I often work with the public, but also it keeps my mouth clean. It uses Xylitol, aloe, propolis, myrrh and T36 Melaleuca oil to prevent harmful bacteria. So handy it fits in my apron, pocket or purse!

One of my favourite products is Renew (but I am a long-standing customer so have many favourites!). It is always handy for winter dry skin/heels/elbows and for sharing. I really enjoy being able to help others and they are so appreciative. And it's usually the Renew (for eczema, chapped hands, dry heels, etc.)

I have very oily hair, but if I wash my hair every day it becomes very dry and damaged. When I joined Melaleuca I began using the Affinia Shampoo and Conditioner. I was amazed that, not only does my hair look cleaner longer, but it also looks much healthier and moisturized. I do not have to use near as much of the Affinia as any other shampoo I have ever used. It still amazes me that less than a quarter size amount of Affinia can make my hair look so much healthier and cleaner. I would recommend Affinia to any of my family, friends, or even a complete stranger!

My favorite personal care product is the Sensitive Whitening Tooth Polish. I have had sensitive teeth for decades. I have used Sensodyne for many years, and even had a prescription for Colgate Sensitive Toothpaste. I received only minimal help from them. The first time I used Melaleuca's Sensitive Tooth Polish, my sensitivity all but disappeared. It was marvelous!

My favorite personal care product is the Gold Bar. I had such dry itchy skin, and after taking a shower I loved to use the towel to "scratch" my back because it itched so badly. From the first time I used the Gold Bar I noticed that dry itchy feeling was gone. I have used the Gold Bar for 19 years and would be devastated if I forgot my Gold Bar when I travel. I keep several on the shelf so that does not happen.

I love the Renew Body Wash! I live in a cold climate, and in the past my skin would get so itchy that I had a hard time sleeping. Applying lotion didn't seem to help much. My legs would look white and scaly because of my dry skin. After using the Renew Body Wash I've noticed a huge difference in the moisture levels of my skin. I don't ever feel itchy, my legs don't get scaly, and my hands don't crack and bleed. It's nice to finally have a product that does what it says it's supposed to do, without having to spend more money!

There are many personal care items that I love from Melaleuca. My ultimate favorite is probably the Tooth Polish. During my pregnancies, my teeth started to really fall apart. I struggled with sensitivity to many things. With using the Tooth Polish, I have started brushing regularly and turning a huge corner in my personal care. I feel so much better having a prettier smile again. Thank you for such a wonderful product!

The Melaleuca products that I love most are probably the Sei Bella line of hair care products! With my very curly, long hair, I use the Volumizing Shampoo followed by the Ultra-Moisturizing Creme Conditioner. Then, the Detangling & Smoothing Spray, followed with the Soft Hold Styling Creme. One of my supervisors at work had complimented me on my hair and asked what it was that I used. I shared some of the Soft Hold Styling Creme with her... she was hooked! She has ALWAYS used the very high-end (and very expensive) salon products. If I had to choose just one product, it'd be the Sei Bella Soft Hold Styling Creme.

Here's the story about my favorite personal care product. I've been shopping with Melaleuca for over two years, and I'm still so glad I started with a home conversion pack, or I might not have tried the Body Satin Antiperspirant & Deodorant. Most people just don't talk about deodorant. The subject doesn't come up... What I love the most about the Body Satin Deodorant is, not only does it do a great job, but it never gets that slimy feeling in the heat the way all other brands do. I'm not sure just what's different about the formulation, but I'll never go back to my former brand! Thank you Melaleuca, and thank you RM Barry for The Melaleuca Wellness Guide.

It's really a tossup between the Pain-a-Trate and the Melaleuca oil. I love Pain-a-Trate. I had a bad knee and whiplash with a pinched nerve that runs up the back of my neck. I've tried everything from Bengay to Biofreeze. They burn. Pain-A-Trate does not, and soaks into the skin good, and is fast, non greasy, doesn't get on your clothes, and is decently priced. The smell also does not linger. I've been using it for over a year, and recommend it to everyone.

My grandson got poked by one of my cactus plants, and you know how the needles have a little poison in them. I put the Melaleuca Oil on the spots and they were cleared up by morning. I have also used it on my knee, and the swelling went down. It is very good for sore muscles.

My favorite personal care product from Melaleuca is the Timeless Age Defying Serum. This product has made my face so smooth, erased lines, and removed dark age spots and lines around my lips. It does not feel greasy or like a thick coating covering my face. I feel I have lost 10 years off my face! When I first got married I told my husband he would need to make enough money for me to get a facelift at age 50. At the age of 49 right now I think I can wait another 15 years.
