No one likes a "bad hair" day. And if the "bad hair" day includes hair loss it can be devastating. Good hair days are easier to achieve when we know and choose products specifically formulated for our hair type.

We have come a long way from the days when plain soap was used to wash our hair and body. Using harsh products or the wrong styling tools can damage hair. WebMD discusses solutions and gives tips to help us restore healthy shiny hair. You'll note that sulfate-free shampoos are recommended. Sulfate, a common ingredient used in shampoos, can strip hair of moisture, leaving it dry and brittle.

Hair Loss

I really like the Sei Bella line hair care! I use the detoxing shampoo once a week. I put rosemary essential oil in my shampoo (Sei Bella volume luxury shampoo) and I believe my hair has gotten longer and also fuller since I use that!

I have found a brilliant quick fix for a bad hair day! I have waist length hair and I love using Melaleuca Original Shampoo. However when it is due for washing again, it can sometimes go a little frizzy. In desperation one day I rubbed a small amount of RENEW lotion onto my palms, and rubbed through the bottom half of my hair - brilliant! It looked like it had been straightened. But instead of drying it out further, I had moisturized it! Now I often use this to make my hair glossy and straight. Don't overdo it though if you try it. Too much could make it lanky and greasy looking.

Many African American women are foregoing the use of chemical relaxers, and I am one of them. Because our hair is curly, many of us fight with very dry hair. I love the Sei Bella Hair products! I use them in my Hair Salon. My personal favorite for my clients is the prep spray. My absolute favorite hair care products are the Sei Bella Luxury Shampoo and the Luxury Creme Conditioner. Because we live in Florida where there is high humidity, my hair is always frizzy. By using these two products on a regular basis the frizz stays calm. Before I started using these products, I would have to use a separate oil product to control the frizz. I have suffered for most of my life looking for hair care products that I didn't have a negative reaction to. I have used both over the counter products and medicated with no success. We are a family of four and we use different hair care products. Our two children use Koala Pals Shampoo and Body Wash.
